That's why we urge our adult patients to see us regularly: it allows us to intercept little problems while they're still small. And that's also why we like to see children as early as his or her third birthday, so that we can apply decay-preventing sealants as needed, and correct inappropriate growth patterns before they set the stage for more involved problems down the road.
